Photovoltaic cables are specifically used for the power transmission lines in the DC side circuits of solar photovoltaic power station systems. They possess excellent physical properties such as resistance to high and low temperatures, UV radiation, water, salt spray, weak acids and bases, aging, and flame retardancy. Common models include PV1-F and H1Z2Z2-K, and these cables are usually exposed to sunlight, capable of operating in harsh environments with high temperatures and UV radiation. For example, on sunny days in Europe, the site temperature of solar systems can reach up to 100°C. The structure of photovoltaic cables typically consists of pure copper or tinned copper core conductors, with a sheath material made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). Their characteristics include small size, light weight, energy-saving and environmentally friendly, good mechanical performance and chemical stability, high current-carrying capacity, corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, wear resistance, and resistance to moisture and water immersion. In addition, photovoltaic cables also have good aging resistance and a longer service life.
Photovoltaic cables play an important role in solar power generation systems, meeting the usage requirements under harsh environmental conditions.
